Will kof 2002 um also receive the quick rematch option like 98 did?
E: also noticed that it's really hard to get people to use the rematch button since they're used to mashin A and going to char select. I think switching the binds so A goes to rematch and Y goes to lobby would greatly increase the amount of happy players

Yeah but currently people aren't even aware of it since they go through lobby-char select with the exact same team and if you think about most games rematch is the default option as mashing *usually* means you want to go for more matches as quickly as possible. worst thing that could happen with the change is people would rematch once before learning about the change and then just starting to mash the other button instead for char select, with current way there's no way to learn about rematch naturally .

It is our experience that if people aren't reading, they will simply report the change in behaviour as a bug. We are contemplating an alternate solution.

but I understand that it's probably 10x more challenging to implement than the current solution.
Thanks for listening atleast, any word on the kof02um and other ports from you guys receiving this after it's been finalized in 98 though? It really is an important feature for people who like playing long sets as character selects can easily take ~10-20% of the playtime in some cases.

Today's update now alerts your opponent if you choose QUICK REMATCH. If they button mash through to the lobby they will at least button-mash through a popup that says you requested the QUICK REMATCH and the default action (A button on Xbox controller) accepts it. Perfect, this has already given me very consistent almost 100% rematchrate in only few hours compared to previous 15hours of no rematches
