A Samurai Shodown V Special question

Post by LynXsh »

Good time of day.
I guess, I know the answer already, but it's better to ask and look dumb than don't ask and actually be the one, right?
So, the question is: is there any chance to have the simultaneous throw inputs resolved NOT as "Player 1 throws. Sorry, Player 2"? Even random outcome would be nice, I think.
Thanks in advance!
(Hope, I didn't insult you.)

Are you referring to offline or online play?

If offline, our mandate is to recreate the Neo Geo version exactly, so we have no latitude to modify the game.

If online, you may be experiencing rollback teleport. In this situation, the other player will likely have executed the move first, but it takes a fraction of a second for your machine to recognise it because of Internet communication delay. So it will begin your throw, later realise the other player threw first (it just didn't know in time), and then correct the game situation to reflect that.

In the local versus. I'm not confident in my skill enough to go online.
Although, if it's offline only, then sorry. I'm okay with it being arcade perfect this way.
