Last Blade 2 PS4: How to pick 3rd alt color?

I learned you can select alternate colors by pressing D/Triangle. A website I checked also said you can use "start" to get a third alt color. Start is the touchpad, but it doesn't do anything when I press it. Am I missing something?

UPDATE: I've found out that there's probably only 2 colors for each style. Sorry for being kinda dumb.
