Wishlist for Arcade1Up Killer Instinct

Hey Code Mystics,

I heard you were the ones making the Arcade1up Killer Instinct software. I'm very much looking forward to it, as it will be my first ever Arcade1Up cabinet! That said, I wanted to ask if it would be possible in the process to address these two issues that exist in your Xbox One versions of KI1 and KI2 for the Arcade1UP version?


1. KI1: Post-match hum background sound doesn't stop when the game transitions back to the matchup screen.

After a fight, on the results/name entry screen, a background hum ambiance sound plays in a loop. On a real arcade cabinet, this ambiance sound stops as soon as the game returns to the matchup screen (list of fighters). You can see an example of this here:

On your Xbox One port, this sound keeps playing and overlaps through the matchup screen, versus screen, and even through the beginning of the fight sometimes. You can see an example of this here:

2. KI1/KI2: The games load too fast.

It seems you guys are not simulating the original harddrive's slower read/seek speeds, causing the game to load fights and transitions much faster than on an original arcade machine. Now, I know normally this would be a good thing, but unfortunately it also causes issues:

On the Versus screen before a fight in both KI1 and KI2, the announcer normally says "Fight On" while the match loads. You can see an example of this here:

On your Xbox One ports, the "Fight On" voice gets cut off halfway through and gets to overlap with the beginning of the fight because the loading completes before the voice even starts playing. You can see an example of this here:

https://youtu.be/ntE9iUsodxU?t=225 (At 3:45) Notice how the announcer says only "Figh" before it gets cut off, and the voice plays over the beginning of the fight.

I understand some people might prefer the faster loading, but I find the fact that the voice sample gets cut off and overlaps with the beginning of the fight to be annoying, plus it's not faithful to the original. I'd understand some people might prefer the faster loading, but then please perhaps offer it as an option to simulate the hard drive's original speed to prevent this issue?
