Hi,

KOF2002UM does use peer-to-peer networking. The ping is as good as your direct connection between you and your opponent.

In order to find opponents with good ping, users sometimes set up Discord servers or message boards to find others near them. The closer you are to your opponent, the better your ping will be.

sorry but unfortunately the ping does not stay below 80MS even if I connect with my neighbor, input delay very unstable as well . this is the same for all brazilian players. Big community we have here playing and a lot of interested to start, but we really need some eyes above our issue.

It's peer-to-peer (unless your firewall force Steam to mediate it), so it is purely a function of the quality of the Internet connection you and your opponent have, as well as the quality of the relays that connect you.

Do note that no matter how good your Internet connection is, if your opponent's connection is bad, the ping will be high.

Also, even with a good Internet connection, if you or your opponent are using WiFi it can increase the ping.

Do also note that having good bandwidth does not guarantee good ping.

It's clear for me now that the problem is not the game itself, but the settings of our staffs.

So the issue is, how to configurate the computer, router and steam to allow the P2P networking in the game kof 2k2UM?

I'll search by myself some solutions in the google, but if you know someone specialist that can do a remoted connectio and try to support us would be nice, for sure we will pay for that. As I mentioned before, this problem persist for all brazilian players.

Hi,

Most firewalls are capable of supporting Steam P2P without custom configuration. However, if you are encountering issues, you can explicitly forward the following UDP ports: 3478, 4379, and 4380.

Hello Code Mystics, all right? My name is Laudelino Almeida Filho, I constantly play KOF 2002Unlimited Match and 98 Ultimate Match on Steam, and I am a part of a community that is always active in the game. I come on behalf of all who play humbly to request a server repair or a closer access point for us Brazilians or, as was done at KOF97 and Samurai Showdown, change the netcode to ROLLBACK, because we Brazilians have a lot difficulty to play due to the high delay (3/4), resulting in a heavy and uncomfortable game. I await an answer, hug, LauyagamiImage[/img][/img][/img][/img]

Hi, there is no server. The connections are peer-to-peer.

The decision to migrate these games to rollback would have to be approved by SNK. It is not a simple task.
