Last Blade 2 Online
I am happy you are fixing the heat stage and a few other things, but the online is mostly unplayable if over 100ms ping. I already own the game on Neo Geo AES, Neo Geo CD and Dreamcast, but I mainly bought this for the online without resorting to emulation like Fightcade. My ISP ping is typically 11ms and I just about always get a match with 120ms to 200ms. Most people that play this game still are in Japan, so high ping rates are to be expected in those cases. I am curious as to how this is a problem when games like Street Fighter 3: Third Strike on the PS3 can play fine with a 300ms ping. Are you guys fixing this in the new patch? Word is spreading fast in the fighting game communities.

We didn't write Street Fighter 3 so we have no idea, but a 300ms ping is one third of a second. It's hard to believe it could play fine, whether using input delay or rollback.

Re: Last Blade 2 Online
My example with 300ms is just what shows up with some of the user names for that one instant in SF3. The game drops the ping rate lower when actually playing. Even Last Blade 2 I will get 230ms and then it will drop to 190 most of the time once the game just about starts. Still, I almost never get a match online that is playable. It is like I have to get lucky with someone that has an exceptional internet connection in order to have a playable fight. This is why I hope you guys fix it, because it simply just doesn't have a good consistency. It isn't just me, a lot of people are having this problem. The online is one of the main features when advertised and the main reason I bought it.
Re: Last Blade 2 Online
maybe code mystics should borrow the netcode from "Fightcade"
http://www.fightcade.com/
i watched a bunch of youtube vids of people playing last blade 2 rom over that and it looks like they are fighting without lag.

this is an example of someone in Chile fighting someone in Britain in what looks like lag-free.

Re: Last Blade 2 Online
The decision on netcode is SNK's.
While rollback code like this (which we have in, for example, Killer Instinct Classic) is without local input lag, the price is that your opponent can teleport.
Additionally, rollback tends to require a much more powerful CPU than the Vita.

Re: Last Blade 2 Online
I use Last Blade 2 on my vita a lot since purchase. I have mostly practiced offline to learn the game again since my dreamcast days and it plays great. thank you for bringing it to psvita. I don't have a ps3 or ps4. So vita is my only current-gen playstation system because i am mostly a portable gamer..
as for online play, so far I have probably played against maybe a handful of different people so far and i am usually seeing pings of 175ms. In those matches the game is in extreme slow-down with tons of delays. When I press a button i can see it happen about a second later. So most of those matches are unacceptable.. and we quit playing eachother when it looks like that. But luckily, for the first time, the matchmaker managed to find someone the other night that had 100ms, and it was much more playable. We kept rematching eachother and did maybe 20+ matches, all playing out the same. It is still not really acceptable by todays standards but it was playable. Just barely enough to be enjoyable.
What I don't understand though is why I can play many other games online on my vita and i see better results in online play, even if the ping is over 200ms.
I play "Street Fighter X Tekken" on my vita a lot online and get much better results usually. Most of those matches are very playable.
The same 175ms is fairly smooth fighting in SFxT.
SNK needs to find out what capcom is using for netcode. =P
