Hi! The choice was SNK's to make the subsequent releases a merge of the Xbox and NESiCA versions. We have never even been supplied with the 3D assets, so it's truly out of our hands.

Hi, Thanks for the questions. It would be non-trivial to make the NEOGEO MODE version support online play, though it is of course possible. Though ultimately the decision is SNK's. You can of course use Steam's Play Together feature but that won't give you access to the advanced netcode features. As...

98UMFE and 2002UM are different than our other work for SNK. Hi, this tends to be a driver-specific issue. There is nothing intrinsically different between the two modes within our code. The additional lag is introduced in the driver's rendering pipeline. KOF98UMFE already offers integer scaling options in windowed mode via the Graphic Settings, though it targets 640x448 and multiples of that as the screen layout was altered in UMFE for 448-high resolution. You would need to turn off the border art to get the 640 width. With border art it is 796x448,...
