Hi,

Most firewalls are capable of supporting Steam P2P without custom configuration. However, if you are encountering issues, you can explicitly forward the following UDP ports: 3478, 4379, and 4380.

It's peer-to-peer (unless your firewall force Steam to mediate it), so it is purely a function of the quality of the Internet connection you and your opponent have, as well as the quality of the relays that connect you. Hi, KOF2002UM does use peer-to-peer networking. The ping is as good as your direct connection between you and your opponent. The flicker is a feature of the original arcade game. To smooth it out, turn on Flicker Filter in the Video Options. You'll have to contact Iron Galaxy or Microsoft about that. Our contribution to Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition was KI Classic, KI2 Classic, and the Bonus Material. We were not involved in the main game.
