Re: KOF2002UM- Please add the same rollback netcode implemented in KOF97 and SSVS

The game doesn't use servers. All a server could do is be another stop for your data to pass through between your machine and the other machine. For that reason, server-mediated netcode is usually worse than peer-to-peer, unless you and the other player might have better routing to the server than e...

Re: Peer-to-Peer for kof 2002UM

Hi, We can only repeat what we wrote above. KOF97 was emulation and built with rollback in mind. KOF98UMFE or KOF2002UM are not and that makes it quite a bit harder. Even then we did the KOF97 work at our own cost, because we knew rollback is important to many fans. Even Kaillera and YZKOF work beca...

Re: Peer-to-Peer for kof 2002UM

We can't speak for SNK. In general terms, though, we expect any company that decides to spend money would be looking for a way for to earn the added expense back. Because these games are ports of ports of ports that were never built for rollback and aren't emulations (which are easier to retrofit ro...

Guys after many tentative to configurate the P2P and a lot of tests performed, I would like to ask of is not possible add the same rollback netcode that was add for KOF97 and SSV?
The decision to migrate these games to rollback would have to be approved by SNK. It is not a simple task.

Re: SSVS: Low Frame Rate

Can you run dxdiag and post the results, please? Use the "Save All Information..." button and then post the .txt file it creates.

Re: Peer-to-Peer for kof 2002UM

Hi,

Most firewalls are capable of supporting Steam P2P without custom configuration. However, if you are encountering issues, you can explicitly forward the following UDP ports: 3478, 4379, and 4380.

Re: Peer-to-Peer for kof 2002UM

It's peer-to-peer (unless your firewall force Steam to mediate it), so it is purely a function of the quality of the Internet connection you and your opponent have, as well as the quality of the relays that connect you. Do note that no matter how good your Internet connection is, if your opponent's ...
